What is RFCAT?

In 2010, the RFCAT tool was developed by an Israeli researcher named Stephen Powell, and this tool is used to analyze radio communications.
It's a great tool that can analyze all bands of radio signals، but it's complicated to work with, you need to have a good knowledge of radio to use it, for those of you who want to use RFCAT, I'm going to teach you how to use it.

What can we do with RFCAT and what are the benefits for Black Hat?

As we have already mentioned, this tool is for radio researchers, you can control the car switch and you can open the car door with it.
We can crack encrypted phone call analysis, it can be used to analyze the frequencies of the channels in the sky, we can use it to jam all the frequency bands like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G, 5G, and so much more, you can do a GPS spoof attack, and there's so much more you can do.

In order to use the RFCAT hardware، we need to install RFACT script.
linux apt install rfcat
arch pacman -S rfcat
We can also use gqrx or sdrsharp for software.

Capturing the signal requires that you be able to listen to the rf spectrum in the gqrx, so you need to connect your SDR to the USB socket and make sure you have the correct drivers, then we can activate the SDR from the power button in the gqrx, it displays the FM radio signal, one of which operates on a frequency of 98.200 MHz.
